I’m Wouter Baustein – German-born music producer, artist, and music & mindset coach based in Belgium. Through Guitar Training Studio and Baustein.Academy I help serious musicians get clarity, structure, and real growth in their playing, mindset, and career.
Who I Am
I’m not a “once-a-week guitar teacher” who just follows a book from page 3 to page 4. I coach musicians on a higher level. With more than 45 years as a musician and over 25 years coaching and producing, I work with players who refuse to stay stuck in hobby mode. My work combines music, mindset, and long-term strategy so you can grow into the artist you were supposed to be.
What I Do

My Background & Training
I was born and raised in Germany behind the piano, and started DJing when I was twelve. That mix of classical training, club energy, and later rock and electronic music still shapes how I hear groove, sound, and arrangement today.
I now live and work in Belgium, where I studied at Jazz Studio in Antwerp and at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, focusing on guitar, songwriting, and music business. Over the years I’ve coached musicians and produced records for artists who wanted more than just “good playing”. Former KISS producer Kenny Kerner was a key mentor; his direct, no-nonsense approach strongly shaped how I coach and challenge my own students.
How I Work
I don’t just show you licks or pages in a method book. I build systems with you: for practice, for mindset, and for your long-term artistic path. We define clear goals, design a strategy, and then execute – with accountability and honest feedback. No fake shortcuts, no empty motivation, just consistent decisions that move you towards the musician you say you want to be.
